The chemical and pharmaceutical process industry is undergoing a transformation toward more flexible architectures in process equipment. These architectures are characterized by significantly shorter equipment installation and conversion times. Such requirements have opened up the market for modular design of process equipment, since the connected design of existing production lines is not intended for conversions, but rather for the production of a product over a period of around 30 years.
